I don’t spend enough time being offended. Next year at Oscar time I’m going to pick the program apart and feverishly formulate new hashtags to vent my spontaneous rage. How empty is Ryan Seacrest that he doesn’t ask Reese Witherspoon about her relationship with God? When will Kelly Osbourne understand that viewers don’t care about that hideous belt Nicole Kidman was wearing, they really want to know if she cares about climate change! Oh thats right. They don’t. Its a movie awards show that starts with a fashion show. People dress up in clothes and jewels they are paid to wear. Its a business just like the movies they make. If they wanted to talk about saving the duckbilled platypus……they would. I for one love the show, love the pageantry, and love to hear what everyone is wearing. I guess I have a year until The Oscars rolls around again to get myself worked up into a lather about some social issue I feel needs to be addressed on the red carpet, because we all know, its not a big event unless someone is offended.
